Last December 12, 2024, The DENR, in partnership with SM Supermalls, BDO Unibank, Kultura Filipino, Forest Foundation Philippines, Katala Foundation (Philippine Cockatoo Conservation Program), Philippine Eagle Foundation, WWF-Philippines, D'Aboville Foundation, and ZSL Philippines, hosted an engaging discussion with the media on the "Save from Extinction: Save Them, Save Ourselves" Campaign in Pasay City. This initiative highlights the urgent need to protect six of the Philippines' most critically endangered species: the Tamaraw, the Philippine Cockatoo, Philippine Pangolin, Marine Turtle, Philippine Eagle, and Dugong.

DENR Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo Loyzaga highlighted the power of collaboration in conservation, stressing that a whole-of-society approach is key to saving our most endangered species. Since its launch in October, the campaign continues to drive critical support for conservation efforts led by trusted partner organizations, giving these species the best chance to thrive.
