A four-day videography and cinematography training, under the guidance of professional cinematographer Mark Philipp Espina, was held at Labros Resort in Calintaan, Occidental Mindoro, and Station 2 of Mounts Iglit-Baco Natural Park from February 25 to March 1, 2025.
From classroom discussions to hands-on field exercises, the team learned about and applied fundamental storytelling techniques and practical filming concepts in a real-world setting. The workshop concluded with a creative challenge where participants produced their own short films, showcasing their newfound skills in visual storytelling.
The purpose of the training is for the field staff to gain knowledge and skills in videography and cinematography so that they themselves can document their work and activities and produce quality footage for further edits and video making.
This activity was supported by the “Thriving Together with Tamaraw” project that is being implemented by a consortium composed of Re:wild, @DAF, and @MB Conservation Foundation, Inc. and funded by the Biodiversity Challenge Funds of the Darwin Initiative, UKAid.
